Inconel 718 valves do not exhibit brittleness at 253℃ (liquid hydrogen temperature range), retaining good plasticity.

2. Precautions for using Inconel 718 valves:


2.1 Long-term use at temperatures above 700℃ is not recommended:

The strength and creep performance of Inconel 718 valves rapidly decline at temperatures above 700℃. Therefore, we recommend keeping the long-term stable operating temperature below 650℃.


2.2 Limited Resistance to Strong Oxidation and High-Temperature Sulfidation: Inconel 718 valves exhibit less resistance to sulfidation corrosion than some high-cobalt-nickel-based alloys in sulfur-containing gas environments above 700℃.


3. Key Application Areas of Inconel 718 Valves:

4. Selection Tips:


4.1 Recommended choice: Inconel 718 valves are suitable for heavy-duty components requiring welding and operating between -253°C and 650°C, while also considering strength and corrosion resistance.


4.2 Not recommended choice: Inconel 718 valves are not suitable for applications with continuous operating temperatures above 650°C, or for applications requiring only strong corrosion and low strength. Inconel 625 valves may be considered instead.
